VAGINA PARTY

VAGINA PARTY

JOIN THE PARTY

V IS FOR VICTORY. AND FOR VAGINA. OH WAIT. THEY’RE THE SAME THING.

I want to start a new political party called the Vagina Party and this would be our platform:

  • Increase Access to and Incentivize use for Clean Energy Public Transportation
    • Give incentives for people to use clean energy public transportation as opposed to driving a car. While backpacking Mexico, I realized that Mexico’s public transportation system is much better than ours in the US. I used buses in every city and between cities. It not only takes cars off the road, which makes everyone safer by decreasing the odds of being involved in a collision, but it also improves air quality because for every car that is off the road, we are sparing the environment of the toxins that would be expelled by that car while encouraging the use of clean energy transportation.
  • Americare – Medicaid4all
    • The elderly have a socialized medical system called Medicare but the rest of the population has to meander their way through a complex, predatory and expensive system. Other developed first world countries like Canada, Denmark and Sweden have socialized medical systems which take care of everyone, and this efficient, productive and inclusive, not to mention overall much less costly than everyone trying to get private insurance.
  • Overhaul Immigration System
    • I think that before we start spending money and resources on people from other countries, we should invest in our own people first. There is already so much poverty in the US. We should be taking care of our own citizens first, and the reason so many Americans are angry that we are fighting for illegal immigrants to be in the US is because people from other countries come to the US illegally and work while many American citizens are left impoverished. ‘Illegal immigrants work jobs Americans don’t want to work’ is true, but only because American companies want to pay less than a living wage, and allowing them to hire illegal immigrants further promotes and condones that. If we were to make American companies pay American workers fairly instead of looking the other way when they hire illegal immigrants for less than minimum wage, then Americans would actually want to work these jobs. Americans do want to work and be productive and employed, and by giving work away to people who are here illegally, it does take away job opportunities for American citizens. Further, American citizens are paying for the healthcare of illegal immigrants (by covering them via medicaid and for emergency room visits) while American citizens are not even guaranteed healthcare and insurance in their own country. Healthcare needs to be socialized the way it is in other developed countries, and to make it affordable, we need to cover our own citizens first before we start covering people who are here illegally.
  • Get rid of Lobbying
  • Basic income / Right to Housing, Transportation & Nutritious Food
    • I think everyone, in addition to being part of a single payer health system, should receive an extra $1500/mo from the government for basic expenses. This would help pay for housing, transportation & organic food, expenses that hold people back from getting ahead and investing in themselves and their businesses. If we’re not going to provide people with a basic income, we should at least provide them with guaranteed safe housing, clean energy, public transportation and organically grown food. Financial inequalities in America make it difficult for low income families to get adequate nutrition, reliable transportation and sufficient, safe housing, and that is not fair. Those should be basic rights guaranteed to all Americans regardless of their financial situation. To deny people these rights and, in my opinion, enslave them by working for minimum wage just to pay for basic expenses and survive not only makes it very difficult for them to get ahead but encourages them to become involved in the black market. It would heavily decrease crime and violence in our communities to provide either a basic income or basic rights to transportation, food and housing for these families and individuals.
  • RealWorld Education in Schools
    • When I went to high school, I took Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, History, etc., but there were no nutrition or cooking classes, no tax code classes, no emotional management classes, human interaction classes or basic world economy classes. I knew nothing about nutrition when I went off to college. I did not know how to cook or take care of my nutritional needs. I knew nothing about the tax code when I entered the real world and did not take advantage of several things I could have done to make things easier on myself tax-wise when I was starting a business.  I knew nothing about how to be diplomatic with difficult people to resolve problems, express my honest feelings but in a professional and poised manner, how to be true to my own emotions and yet be compassionate with others who I feel disrespected by, etc., and there are strategic and smart ways to do all those things. I have had to learn quite a lot by making a lot of ignorant and naive choices, and I think these are all things that we should be teaching kids in school. I think it would decrease the amount of school shootings especially if we had emotional management classes and taught kids how to express their feelings to others and confront their emotions in a way that is healthy for both them and others. I also knew absolutely nothing about the world economy. I took a microeconomics or macroeconomics class in high school but I just memorized a bunch of random information that I hardly understood to pass the AP exam, which I then forgot after I took the exam, and then I used absolutely none of that information in my life. It was a waste of my time which I think would have been spent much more productively had I learned about something that would have been helpful to me in my personal life and that I could take with me through life, such as any of the classes I mentioned above.
  • Serve kids healthy breakfast & lunch in schools
    • Schools should serve children a complimentary healthy breakfast and lunch. Some kids come from low income households or households that are ignorant of kids’ nutritional needs and do not understand that sugary cereal and milk or a sandwich with processed white bread and lunchmeat is unhealthy. SUGAR IS EIGHT TIMES MORE ADDICTING THAN COCAINE! The last thing anyone should eat is sugar, even in the morning! It causes children to either be tired or filled with unnatural energy that they cannot expend because they are forced to sit for hours and hours while in school, so their poor little bodies store that extra energy as fat. We drug children and diagnose them with ADHD thinking they are abnormally hyperactive. Perhaps they’re just being fed too much processed sugar and/or they don’t want to sit for hours and hours because it’s unhealthy and unnatural for their bodies? No wonder our healthcare system is so expensive and children hate school! We start feeding children sugar from the time they are very young with cereal and milk and then make them sit for hours all day on that sugar, which causes them to be hyperactive and then crash, all while trying to make them learn information they are not interested in because all they are going to do is memorize it and then forget it. And when they misbehave or don’t have the aptitude for school subjects but have talents in other areas, we drug them or they drug themselves so they can compete. That’s fun America. Food has a lot to with mood stability too. I am sure it would help kids’ behavior and emotional stability if they were fed healthy food everyday.
      • For breakfast, children should have access to, at the very least, eggs, beans, potatoes, fruit and freshly squeezed juice.
      • For lunch, children should have access to healthy soups such as pea soup, tomato soup, sweet potato soup, lentil soup and chicken soup or an entree plate with a lean protein and vegetables.
    • I did not know any better when I went to school and there was of course no breakfast served for us, and I had to be at school at 7:30AM. Up until then, all I had the appetite for was a banana, which is all sugar, and then I was hungry for hours until lunchtime, at which time sometimes I ate healthy and sometimes I just ate whatever they were selling in the cafeteria, and that was usually a cheeseburger. I was always tired and overweight and I had no clue about nutrition.
  • Socialized Higher Education
    • Get rid of standardized testing, which is just a business and only further fosters American inequality. Everyone has the right to matriculate at the nearest 4 year college within their home state regardless of their GPA in high school and it is paid for by the government. This would encourage kids to seek a higher education and result in a more educated general population.
  • No More Questions About Race, Gender or Age on Job & School Applications
    • Everyone is judged based on their merits
  • Simplified Tax System
    • Expatriates are currently incentivized to sacrifice their US citizenship because the tax system is so complicated
    • How about
      • 1% @ $10k-100k
      • 10% @ $100k – $500k
      • 15% @ $500k – $1 m
      • 20% @ $1m – $5m
      • 30% @ $5 m-10m
      • 40 % @ 10m +
  • Fix Defense Spending
    • Billions of dollars are wasted on greed and corruption in the military
  • Outlaw Herbicides & Pesticides
    • They make people sick, wreck the environment, increase cost for healthcare & kill valuable insects such as bees and butterflies
    • If we can’t grow food organically, we should not be growing it at all! Period! Respect the earth, respect people’s lives and health.
  • Outlaw non-environmentally friendly & non-biodegradable household  products
  • Outlaw Kidnapping of Animals for Entertainment as Pets in Private Households & Performance Animals in Zoos & Circuses.
  • Decriminalize all hard + soft drugs & also Sex Work
    • It worked out for the Netherlands, and everyone loves Amsterdam. The more forbidden something is, the more people rebel and do it anyway. Get rid of the drinking age! To legalize drugs would would all but erase the violence involved in drug cartels and their interaction with law enforcement. I have never heard of LSD or marijuana killing anyone, and for the drugs that could cause death if overdosed, to legalize these drugs would not only remove the stigma associated with being a ‘user’ but it would also allow the taxation and regulation of these drugs. Legalizing prostitution would finally dignify both male and female sex workers and their work. The purchase of sex should be seen as a legitimate business transaction just like any other. There is a service being offered and a client who wants to pay for that service. It would benefit the economy, sex workers and their clients.
  • Legalize Female Toplessness & Remove Negative Stigma of Female Nudity
    • Women are not given the same dignity and respect in our society as boys are. They are treated as second class citizens. De-stigmatizing women’s bodies by giving them the right that men already have to bathe topless without degradation will help to alleviate such injustices and dignify women, as they should be.
  • Increase Teacher Pay to $50/hour. Teaching is a highly dignified job and teachers work very hard to educate students. It’s time they were shown the respect that they deserve, and a higher wage would attract better teachers. Invest in children and the future.
